Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery among top in U.S. for tours and tastings

For the fourth straight year, a popular Finger Lakes winery was named to operate the best winery tour in the nation is USA Today’s latest Readers’ Choice Awards.

The 2025 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards  highlight the very best in travel, food and drink and lifestyle. Every week, USA TODAY 10Best invites a panel of industry experts to nominate their favorite points of interest and attractions across a wide range of categories.

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery in upstate NY wins best winery tour

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery on Keuka Lake won best winery tour for the fourth straight year in the USA Today 10Best Reader’s Choice poll. It also placed fifth for the best wine tasting room. The poll cited the historic winery’s 1886 Food and Wine Experience, in which guests participate in a guided tour followed by a seated wine tasting paired with seasonal small bites. 

The poll also ranked the winery to have the third best wine tasting room in the nation. “Their modern tasting rooms provide knowledgeable staff, exceptional views and personalized experiences for their guests,” according to the poll.

The 1886 Food & Wine Experience takes place within the historic Chateau Frank. Each day features a different vineyard or winemaking experience, which are offered at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, May 15 through Nov. 2. The cost is $75 per person.

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery, at 9749 Middle Road in Hammondsport, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Winery in Schuyler County has top winery restaurant

The Tasting Barn at Ryan William Vineyard in Burdett, Schuyler County, was named to have the fifth best winery restaurant, according to the USA Today Readers’ Choice poll. According to the poll, “its Tasting Barn offers a true farm-to-fork dining experience — their produce and animal products are grown on-site or very-locally sourced.”

The winery, located at 4156 New York Route 414 in Burdett, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Tasting Barn offers in-house dining and curbside food in its “to-go barn boxes.”
