This Hotel Chain Celebrates School Spirit
College sports fanatics typically head back to their alma maters for a big football or basketball game—and there is a hotel chain that caters to these superfans. Graduate Hotels by Hilton are located in college towns and pay homage to their respective home teams through clever design and décor. The Graduate in Bloomington, for instance, celebrates Indiana Hoosiers basketball with a flying chair sculpture in honor of the late coach Bobby Knight, while the Graduate hotel in in Eugene, Oregon, features a giant wooden pull-toy duck (”Go Ducks!”) and a glass reception desk filled with Nike running sneakers. There are currently 33 Graduate properties in the United States and two in England for supporters of Oxford and Cambridge.
