Collette and Scott, founders of the Roamaroo travel blog, have been traveling the world since 2015. Now parents of a 2-year-old, the family recently took a trip to Disney World and saved over $2,000 using various travel hacks.

Booking a Home Swap Instead of Hotel

“It’s a simple, sustainable way to travel without sacrificing the experience,” Collette and Scott said. “Eating at home whenever possible not only saves money, but it also gives you the freedom to fuel up without the hassle of overpriced park food.”
They also packed their own snacks and drinks when they visited the theme park.
“Those long days in the park can drain you, and having your own supplies means you won’t be tempted by the expensive, underwhelming snacks inside,” Collette and Scott said.
