Getting to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve
The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is located in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, just a short drive from the coastal town of Portimão. - Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) — 280 km / ~2.5–3 hr drive (main international hub).

- Located just off the A22 motorway (Via do Infante).
- Approximate driving times:
- Faro → 50 min
- Lisbon → 2.5–3 hrs

🚆 Getting to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve by Train
Travelling by train is a scenic and comfortable way to reach the Algarve, with good connections from Lisbon and other major Portuguese cities. The railway system is reliable, and fares are often lower when booked in advance.

- Nearest station: Portimão railway station, around 20 km from the circuit.
- Main operator: Comboios de Portugal (CP) – Portugal’s national rail service.
- Ticket purchase:

- Routes:
- Trains from Lisbon Oriente railway station or Lisbon Entrecampos railway station run to Tunes railway station (approx. 3 hours).

- From Portimão to the circuit:

- There are no direct trains to the track, and walking is not recommended due to distance and lack of pedestrian access.
🚌 Getting to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve by Bus
Buses offer flexible and often cheaper travel options, particularly for fans coming from Lisbon or other cities in southern Portugal. Event shuttles also make it easy to travel from nearby towns directly to the circuit.

A friendly, well-equipped campsite near the beaches of Alvor. Ideal for fans who want a relaxed stay but easy access to the track. Tent and campervan pitches available. - Hotel da Rocha (Portimão – 25 min)
A modern beachfront hotel with comfortable rooms, pool, and sea views. Perfect for those who want a mix of race action and a holiday feel. - Tivoli Lagos (Lagos – 30 min)
A stylish, centrally located hotel with great restaurants and easy transport links. A popular choice for MotoGP fans who want to enjoy the Algarve nightlife after the races.
🏕️ Camping at the Portugal MotoGP
Camping at the Portugal MotoGP is a popular option. Bless with good weather (though be prepared for chilly nights) the south coast of Portugal is an ideal spot to camp – even in mid-November. The temperature during the day can still reach 20°C.
Here are two campsite recommended by the circuit itself:
Camping Alvor
A campsite offering pitches for tents and caravans, along with facilities like a swimming pool and restaurant. Located a 20km distance from the circuit.
Orbitur Camping
Another campsite option providing good facilities. Located a 23km distance from the circuit.
NOTE: There are no campsites within the vicinity of the circuit. Also, camping equipment is not permitted in the circuit itself.
